Each year FIB runs a selection of specialised courses in conjunction with its annual workshop on:

Financial Fraud & Intelligence – Combating Financial Crime through Information: 17 - 19 November 2008

ICC - Commercial Crime Services and the Financial Investigation Bureau (FIB) London, wish to announce its annual workshop entitled “Financial Fraud & Intelligence”.

In November 2008, the FIB will hold its annual specialised interactive workshop dealing with the current issues affecting financial fraud, due diligence and financial intelligence.

The annual workshop on “Financial Fraud and Intelligence” is available to FIB members, national Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) representatives and other financial sector institutions. Details on the forthcoming FIB workshop are as follows:

Some of the topics that will be discussed at the FIB workshop will include:

  • Regional Financial Fraud Issues (Europe & Asia)
  • Financial Intelligence & Due Diligence
  • International Cooperation (FIU’s and the financial services sector)
  • Latest developments in Financial Instrument Fraud
  • Latest developments in Anti-Money Laundering
  • The Financial Fraud Exercise & Lessons Learned

The unique approach of this specialised interactive workshop will present delegates with the latest trends and developments in dealing with financial crime, money laundering and counter terrorism financing issues.

Additionally, delegates will have the opportunity to share best practice ideas and influence future anti-fraud and money laundering initiatives with government officials and financial sector decision-makers.

The location for this event has been specially chosen to ensure that presentations and discussions of various topics are conducted in a suitable environment that allow for privacy and discretion.
