Duty crew onboard an anchored product tanker noticed the aft station stores missing. A search was carried out. No unauthorised persons found on board.

116-23 25.11.2023: 1830 UTC: Posn: 14:35.58N – 120:51.53E, Manila Bay Anchorage, Philippines.
Duty crew onboard an anchored container noticed the store room open and ships properties missing. Theft reported to VTMS Manila via VHF Ch.16/14 and email.

115-23 26.10.2023: 2030 UTC: Posn: 01:24.20N – 103:03.33E, Malacca Straits.
Around five to six robbers armed with knives, in a small boat, approached and boarded a bulk carrier underway. They went into the Master’s cabin and stabbed him. Master was able to alert the bridge. Alarm raised and crew mustered resulting in the robbers escaping. 2/O and C/O tended to the Masters stab wounds. Vessel diverted to Singapore anchorage for medical support. On anchoring the coast guard boarded the vessel to investigate. The medical team disembarked the master for medical assistance.

Five unauthorised persons boarded an anchored container ship through the hawse pipe. Duty AB on rounds noticed the persons and raised the alarm resulting in the persons escaping with stolen ship's properties. VTMS Manila notified and a patrol boat was dispatched to search the area.

Four robbers armed with knives boarded an anchored tanker. They threatened and took hostage the duty AB while the OS managed to escape and inform the Duty Officer. Alarm raised and crew mustered. Seeing the crew alertness, the perpetrators escaped empty handed.

Alert crew onboard a berthed product tanker noticed unauthorised persons on deck and raised the alarm resulting in the perpetrators escaping with stolen ship’s properties. Incident reported to the local authorities through the local agent.

Five robbers armed with knives boarded an anchored general cargo ship. They threatened the duty AB, who managed to escape and raise the alarm resulting in the robbers escaping with stolen ship's spares.

108-23 23.10.2023: 1700 UTC: Posn: 01:10N – 103:26E, Singapore Straits.
Duty crew onboard a bulk carrier underway noticed three unauthorized persons entering the engine room. One of the persons was armed with a knife. The duty crew notified the bridge. Ship’s general alarm raised, announcement made on PA and VTIS informed. A small boat trail was noticed on the radar screen, moving away from the ship. Crew mustered and a search was made. Footprints were found in the steering gear room leading to the main deck. Nothing reported stolen. Vessel anchored at Eastern bunkering anchorage and the coast guard boarded for inspection.
